I'm in love!

So Valentines day is right around the corner, and I'm am so totally lost in love.

I love my new Kindle that my boyfriend probably wishes he never gave me for Christmas. I haven't let it out of my sight. My Kindle sports a colorful skin, a screen protector and an awsome cover to give it that fun book feel to it.

Before I ever got it for Christmas I knew I wanted to read the USA today on it, and get the free classic books (which already made it worth the money), but had no idea what else was in store for me. I seriously had no idea that there were so many new free and reduced books that you can get daily. I have enjoyed ever book I have read so far, or had read to me since my kindle, Olivia, likes to read out loud to me. Which is another something I didn't know it would be able to do. Everyday I learn something new about my kindle.

I've been pushing people to get one for themselves too. I know pathetic, I just want everone else to be as happy as I am. That is what you do when you are in love, right?

I admit it. I'm addicted, it's an adictive kind of love.

Each day I check the Books on the Knob to see what is new on the "free" list. Then I wander over to Free eBooks and Tips to see what they have to offer, you never know if they might be one up on BOTK and know about a free book first.

I'm not done then either, because free is awesome, but reduced isn't all bad, so I check out the Free books for February thread and the Bargain books for February thead on the Kindle boards.

So it's out, I'm addicted Kindle user.

3 Unmarked Graves

Here's a spooky photograph I have to share for Halloween weekend.

This is a photo I took of 3 unmarked graves at Rock Hill Chapel Church.

It is said that 6 monks built the church and that these 3 graves are of 3 of the monks. Rock Hill church can be found on the list of haunted places to visit in Louisiana.

Rock Hill Chapel
Carmel, Louisiana......

Construction on the Rock Chapel began in 1891 by monks who lived in the nearby Carmelite monastery. Stone from the surrounding area were joined together with mud plaster. The walls were painted with frescoes and the ceiling with murals done by two monks from France. The Chapel was used as a retreat for the monks. Unfortunately a decline began due to the death of the monks, poverty, fire and the closure of the Carmelite convent. It fell into disrepair until 1959, renovation was completed in June of 1961.

I survived...

Well, I survived the big party this weekend. An all weekend Party..... I rented a cabin at Lake Darbonne to celebrate my 40th Birthday, and also my daughters 16th Birthday. I am absolutely exhausted....could barely stay awake today at work.

May is always a very busy month. This week not so bad, but next week I have taken some time off work so I can handle all that will be going on. Dance Recital, lots of rehersals, and dress rehersals, Kindergarten Graduation, Awards days, dentist appts for all 3 kids.

I'll recoup while I can, so I can be ready for next week.

Not really a day off...

Well, the big party weekend starts tonight. Tonight we will celebrate my birthday and tomorrow my daughters birthday, but I'm sure it will all be blended together thoughout the entire weekend. We have rented a cabin for the weekend. I took the day off to prepare for everything. I loved waking up to not having to go to work today, but with that said, I have TONS to get done today....Sometimes I miss the days when I was a stay-at-home Mom.

Anywho....Can't wait for the festivities to start tonight!

The big 40!

Well, today is the day. The day I go from being in my 30's to in my 40's. I guess I thought I'd have more of a problem with it, but I'm doing okay. Perhaps I'm just in denial....It may hit me next week...sure hope not.

Here's to living live and loving it!!
